I’m a qualified teacher, how can I start working with Support Learning?

We are always looking for dynamic and experienced teachers to join our team, please get in touch and we can discuss opportunities.

I’m unsure group tuition will be suitable for my child, isn’t 1 – 2 – 1 always best?

We find students make excellence progress in small group sessions, children often enjoy the interaction with other students in the group and as well as finding it less pressured, as the focus isn’t on one individual the whole time.  We offer trial sessions to all students to see if the groups are suitable.  For those that prefer, we also offer 1 – 2 – 1 sessions where possible and where the needs of the student dictate, for example if they have specific needs in terms of content they wish to cover or SEN.

What support is available to Elective Home Education students?

We understand there are many reasons why parents and students go down the route of Elective Home Education and often the requirements are specific to the individual.  We look to tailor our offering to each student and family, whether that is help with understanding the curriculum, entering in for examinations, study materials or live / recorded lessons.  Please get in touch and we can discuss your requirements.

Are face to face lessons better than online?

Some students and families will always prefer face to face lessons, and they will always be available through Support Learning.  However we are finding increasingly that there is a demand for online sessions due to the recent improvements in technology and the convenience for students who don’t have to travel to after school tuition centres.  All our teachers have had training in the use of our Virtual Learning Environment.
